Dear Garfield East Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) Family,

I am thrilled and honored to welcome you and your child to Garfield East ECDC. I have been an educator for over 20 years. This is my second year at Garfield East ECDC. Before this, I served as the high principal from April 2022 until 2023. Prior to that role, I was an assistant principal at JC Stuart Elementary and Willingboro High School. I started my career as a middle school math teacher and provided math homebound instruction for grades 6-12.

As a proud parent of three children, I am experienced in guiding them through their education. My oldest is completing her master’s degree this year, my son is returning to his second year of college, and my youngest daughter is becoming a junior in high school. I enjoy spending time with my family and my school community.

Each new school year brings a sense of excitement, anticipation, and the promise of new beginnings for me. My dedicated team of educators has carefully planned engaging and enriching lessons that emphasize the joy of discovery and the continuous pursuit of knowledge. At Garfield East ECDC, learning is a lifelong adventure filled with opportunities to explore new ideas, develop skills, and build lasting relationships. My team and I are thrilled to embark on this journey with you and your family.

What to Expect This Year

4. Character Development: Alongside academic excellence, we emphasize the importance of developing strong character and values to all of our scholars. Garfield East ECDC will continue to implement the Positive Interventions and Behavioral Supports (PBIS) initiative which focuses on our scholars being Responsible, Respectful, and Safe at school. We strive to nurture these qualities in all of our scholars.
